Hello! Im Brittani Gomes, 4th Grade teacher at Our Lady of Guadalupe School in Fremont, CA. This is my first year teaching at OLG and first year teaching 4th Grade! I am thrilled for this opportunity to teach your children and so incredibly blessed that God has brought me back to Fremont for my first year teaching!

I am from Warm Springs, born and raised, attended Irvington High School just down the road and completed my AA at Ohlone College before graduating with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies for Elementary Teaching from National University. I moved from Fremont to Sunnyvale for a few years and moved back in February 2018. It feels good to be home!

I love trying new recipes and crafts from Pinterest, playing with my German Shepard puppy, Bel, spending time with family, and Traveling. I have visited 7 countries, Ireland being my absolute favorite. Teaching is something I find so much joy in every single day- I live for those “ah-ha!” moments and seeing real life connections being made by my students. I can’t wait to let the year’s adventures unravel, especially Camp Coloma! Thank you for choosing our school and thank you for you children, they are a blessing to us all!

Fourth grade is an exciting year for our students. We have multiple projects, such as our Mission project, that are unique to our grade level. The children also gain in-depth knowledge of California and the Gold Rush period, and gain hands on exploration experience during our Colomo field trip. We will cover sever class novels together in English Language Arts, expand our skills in California Common Core Math and learn more about our exciting world with our in depth NGSS Science program. I encourage you to browse through the fourth grade web pages to learn more about our curriculum, class projects and field trips.
