On August 18th teachers and staff greeted Our Lady of Guadalupe families for the First Day of School. The school was ready to meet all the families and supply them with learning materials, books and Chromebooks to ensure our continued success with virtual learning. Our Lady of Guadalupe’s plan for remote learning is designed to achieve the same learning outcomes as the in-person learning environment with the goal of accelerating learning outcomes for all our students. OLG teachers and staff are implementing and defining a consistent set of expectations and structures for our remote learning program. Our Lady of Guadalupe School has integrated social-emotional learning, mindfulness and community building as part of the main components’ curriculum.
OLG teachers kicked off the school year by introducing themselves and talking about all the new fun and exciting academic adventures they will be providing for their students. In the school’s virtual classrooms, students will receive daily live interactions with their teacher and classmates, as well as detailed lessons planned for them to participate through technology, with the full class, in small groups or individually, as determined by the teacher. Our Lady of Guadalupe School has set very stringent standards to educate their students. The school’s dedicated teachers and staff are committed to meeting these standards on a daily basis.
