I was born and raised in the Philippines. Before coming to the United States, I taught in a Catholic school in Quezon City, Philippines. I have taught in the Dioceses of Los Angeles, Orange, Oakland, San Jose, San Francisco, and now back in Oakland this coming academic year. I obtained a teaching credential from Mount Saint Mary’s College, Los Angeles, and completed a Master’s Degree at Santa Clara University. In my spare time, I read, study, or go for a walk. I am also an avid sports enthusiast – from college and professional football, NCAA March Madness, hockey, tennis, to the Olympics, I love them all! Essentially, I love our Dominican life and vocation. I have been a member of the same religious community as Sister Janice Therese for some 22 years. Lastly, I feel blessed in my ministry in Catholic school education.
